Clinical Update About Our Treatment

Pilot Results

In our early clinical trials, participants reported significant relief, with an almost 50% drop in Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) scores after 6 months of using our therapy. THI scores are a validated measure of how severely tinnitus affects a person’s life.

Participants enjoyed the music that was used in their treatment and were able to incorporate listening to their customized sound therapy  into their daily routine. Some participants would listen for single 2 to 3 hour sessions, while others broke up the listening sessions into multiple 30 to 60 minute sessions each day.  With these commitments we were able to see gradual improvements in the THI as well as perceived tinnitus loudness. Our efforts to design an enjoyable and convenient sound therapy were intended to make it easier for tinnitus sufferers to use the sound therapy in a range of situations and with different life styles.

We look forward to updating you with more information about our clinical work in the coming weeks.

I shot a 45 military pocile hand gun once in my off time. And the casing richocheted and hit the canopyoverhead. I had ringing in both ears before I lost my hearing in both ears. My lost the ringing, but I alsolost my hearing in my right ear for a week. I also noticed I had hearing loss in both ears to some degree, after my hearing came back again. At that time, the army did not use any protective gear on the rifle orgun range. Now they do, and I’m sure it was the result of all of the hearing casualties they had in thepast. To this day, the army will not accept responssibilityk for my hearing loss. Just because I no longerseek any treatment. I was told by VA specialists, there’s nothing they can do to repair my hearing loss.
